Stolen U.S. Identities used to Pose as IT Workers

June 11, 2024

Charges were unsealed today against an Arizona woman, a Ukrainian man, and three foreign nationals who allegedly participated in schemes to place overseas Information Technology (“IT”) workers – posing as U.S. citizens and residents – in remote positions at U.S. companies. The charges describe a years’ long campaign by the North Korean government to infiltrate U.S. job markets through fraud in an effort to raise revenue for the North Korean government and its illicit nuclear program
